To become a board-certified artist at our academy, you will need to fulfill the following requirements:
100 Hours of Training:
Our intensive training program spans over 100 hours, meticulously designed to equip you with the knowledge and hands-on experience required to excel in the art of micropigmentation. Our expert instructors will guide you through every step of the process, ensuring you gain a thorough understanding of the techniques and industry best practices.
2 Weeks of Apprentice:
Practical application is the key to mastering micropigmentation. During a 2-week apprenticeship, you will have the opportunity to work closely with experienced artists, perfect your skills, and gain valuable insights into real-world scenarios.
Complete 2 Models:
As part of the training, you will be required to complete work on 2 models. These models can either be brought in by you, or provided by our academy for an additional fee. This hands-on experience will help you build confidence and refine your artistic abilities.

Our Lip Contour training course includes 1-2 days of face-to-face class time where you’ll work directly with our certified trainers.
One of the most important aspects of our Lip Contour classes is the opportunity to practice on live models. These sessions take place under strict trainer supervision and have a low student-to-trainer ratio to ensure personalized instruction.
You will receive ongoing support and access to online resources before, during, and after your Lip Contour training. Once the course has finished, your trainer will continue to provide support as you take your first steps in the beauty industry.

Lip Contour treatments are in-demand and can provide an excellent living for those who complete our training course. Rates for Lip Contour sessions average $500 – $800 for a procedure that lasts 60 – 90 minutes. That means even if you only see two clients a day, you could expect to earn up to $8,000 per week.
Licensing requirements vary by state and town regulations. It’s best to check with the location where you live / work. In order to receive a Micropigmentation license in Connecticut, you will be required to first complete 2000 hours. We offer apprenticeship options through Micropigmentation Academy to earn those hours. Please call for more information.
